Overview: This recitation is not for credit, but is just for you to practice the submission process. You should submit any short text file you like (but please short and not in bad taste). The system will email the file you submitted back to you as confirmation, so you will know that the submission process seems to be working. You do not send an email to me, but instead execute the following command while logged into a machine in the Linux environment using your own account: 
    % ~wagner/bin/cs3723r0 < funkyfile.txt
Here funkyfile.txt is your short file, in the same directory as your current directory. If you are working in the Windows environment, you can save your file onto the "Z" drive and then ssh to a Linux machine (e.g., elk02-elk06) to execute the above command. Your file must be an actual text file (.txt), saved as text without extra formatting information. (See the submissions page for more information.) If you are working with a partner(in a team of two), the two of you may submit one file at practice. However, it could help you to submit your own practice file just in case you have to do it later.

Due dates for this practice submission: The first full-credit due date is already in the past by the time you read this, but that's part of the practice. The final (part-credit) due date is this Friday. Again, this is for practice and not for any credit.

What you should submit: Refer to the submissions directions and to deadlines at the top of this page. The text file that you send is any short text file at all.

 Contents of email submission for this recitation:

Last name, first name; CS 3723; Recitation Number.
Anything at all. Make it short, entertaining or informative, and not illegal.

Key ideas: After you get your file emailed back to you, that should show that everything is working.
