    Note: The text is now available. It was difficult to decide whether to use this 3rd edition because it describes a version of Java which is not supported yet by any browser. However, it is not a good idea to use outdated source materials. Also, the Java 2 development kit can be downloaded, say to your home PC, and this supports the Java in the 3rd edition.
