3. Hour Exam (no make-ups): 14%
4. 40 % of Final exam: 12%
Notes:
  1. Course Grade: I will be teaching 6 weeks of this class, so I will provide points for 40% of the grade. Dr. Kwek and I will confer at the end of the semester to determine final grades.

  2. Assignments: There will be 6 assignments, each to be handed in by midnight on the Tuesday after the week they are assigned. These will involve written exercises and perhaps some programming.

  3. Recitations: During recitations the recitation instructor will have you work on problems that you have not seen before. You will work on these in groups and present the solutions.

  4. Final Exam: I will provide 40% of the material on the final exam.

  5. Recitation Grade: The recitation instructor, Dr. Kwek, and I will consult with one another about grades. In no case will a grade >= C be assigned to one part, with a grade < C to the other part.

  6. Grade Distributions: I do not provide information to students about the performance of other students. In particular, I do not give exam averages or distributions.

  7. Exam Grading: If you have questions about the grading of the hour exam, you should write your concerns on the exam itself, indicating each problem and the reasons for concern. Then I will regrade the entire exam. You are expected to list all concerns at one time, so that only one iteration is needed.
